- TRterri ritterJan 26, 20261.0My husband and I stopped into the Paynesvelle store about 5:45 pm on a Monday night. We ordered a philly sandwich on Italian bread and was asked if we wanted the onions and peppers toasted. We said yes, but she only toasted meat/cheese/bread. We also ordered a ham and cheese sandwich on the same bread. First off, the bread was hard, NOT fresh. Second, the condiments - ALL OF THEM - were frozen, and it was very visible on each container. It was very unappealing to see all the ice on all the vegetable - it was BAD. We also made one of them a meal, so we got one raspberry cheesecake and one chocolate cookie. I couldn't even taste the chocolate cookie - it tasted like raspberry. But all in all, sadly, the cookies were the best part of the meal. We will not be stopping at any Subway soon, and when we do, it WILL NOT be this location in Paynesville. Very disappointing.
