- HRH RussFeb 20, 20263.0Duffy's use to be a spot my husband and I frequented often but then lift got busy and we hadn’t been there since the kitchen remodel. Tonight we stopped in for dinner. We were prompted greeted by the host and put on the wait list for a table. A server offered to get us drinks while we waited for our table. Got seated fairly quickly and greeted by a server. We asked for a couple of minutes to look over the beer list and 15 minutes or more later a different server came by and asked us if we wanted drinks. We ordered them and they were dropped off fairly quickly but the server had a try full of drinks so we assumed she would be back shortly to get our order but that didn’t happen. After waiting a solid 20 minutes we motioned to the host who kindly came over and took our order. Food was fine. It had been a while since I had eaten here but I strongly believe they went from hand batter onion rings to frozen onion rings. My husband ordered another beer which the server forgot to put in and realized when we were almost finished with our food. I was charged extra for using my debit card. I saw nothing on the bill nor was I told about this additional charge. I have always been a fan of Duffy’s and I love that some of the staff has worked there for years but tonight left a bad taste in my mouth hence the rating of 3 stars.
