  Used to be the best fish and chips in the city. Now you're lucky to get something that isn't a soggy mess and comes out within 45 minutes. The change to counter service had absolutely destroyed the quality of food and service. This long term customer is finally done and will not be back.

  There are menu choices... But I've only had the fish and chips. Always great flavor and unchanged over the years I've been there. Great local place in Minneapolis! A must visit!

  I am a MEGA CHIPPY fan so to hear about something like this in my hometown of Minneapolis was a must try. The Fish and chips is the best I’ve ever had. They fry everything in beef tallow so you don’t feel gross after eating it. I would also recommend getting the mushy peas as a side and the curry to dip your fries into. I would say one thing that could be improved on is the portioning. My wife got a larger piece of cod than me so I felt a bit ripped off. I also think they should be giving just a little more fries in the basket, Many times I feel like I’m getting the scraps. I’ve also had to ask for a lemon every time after I get my food. I think a place like this asking for tips before you pay is a bit strange. They don’t really wait your table like a normal restaurant, it’s more comparable to Culver’s in terms of what they do service wise and I don’t tip the kids at Culver’s for brining my food out. I’d say either make it a regular restaurant or get rid of the tip screen on the iPad. This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in the twin cities so take my review with charity because I want to see it grow!

  I've been coming here for years and this used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, the new system of ordering (kiosk, then take a number to a table) makes this restaurant feel less like a cozy pub and more like a chipotle. The new layout of tables makes it difficult to squeeze through to your seat. No refills on any of our drinks over the course of our meal, and the 3 of us had to cram into a table for 2 even though the host said it was a 3-top. I used to love coming here not only for the great food, but for the attentive customer service. No one checked on us after we got our food and as other reviewers have noted, you are asked to tip up front. Two stars only because the food is still great, but my most recent visit was so disappointing. Likely won't be returning any time soon.

  I placed an order for delivery February 10. I never received my order. I called the restaurant. I let them know that I never received my order and they let me know that they were gonna be processing a refund. I have not gotten my refund yet and it is April 6, 2026 I have called at least 15 times over these months and each time the manager is not there. I leave a message with the person that answered the phone they write my number down and Write my name down and I still have not received a call back. I keep calling and I will either get the voicemail or someone answering saying that the manager is not available. I just want my $42 refund for the order I never got.
