  Our family had just finished bicycling around lake Nokomis on a record breaking 79 degree day Saturday March 21st, and the Grand Ole Creamery is a traditional stop for us. It was about 4 in the afternoon and the place looked desserted, pun intended :) We went up to the door which was locked, then we saw an employee waving to us as if we needed to hold on. He opened the door and requested that we give him a few moments to get ready as their opening crew never showed up for the day. We were in no rush so we took our time deciding, ordered our ice cream, and he then told us that it was on the house for the hassle. Amazing service! We only waited a few addtional minutes so the gesture wasn't necessary, but boy we were impressed and of course will be back next time we bike in the area.

  NOT OPEN! Don’t go here, they don’t update their hours on Google/Yelp or give any clue about their hours on their website or social media. Are they closed permanently or just closed for the season? Who knows!
