This was my first visit to this Chipotle on November 12, 2025, around 1:30 p.m. When I walked in to place my order, I was treated unfairly. As a Black African woman with an accent, I’ve sometimes unfortunately experienced bias before, but being discriminated against while paying for food is unacceptable. The older man who served me gave me a noticeably smaller portion than what I typically receive at other Chipotle locations. Moments earlier, I watched him serve a much larger portion to a white gentleman in front of me for the same order type and price. When I politely mentioned that my portion seemed very small, he dismissed my concern, saying, “That’s how we serve here.” His tone and behavior made me feel disrespected and singled out. I’m deeply disappointed by this experience and hope Chipotle management takes steps to ensure fairness and respect for all customers, regardless of background or accent.
