It's been awhile since I visited this five Guys restaurant, and I was surprised by how different it was than the last time I was here. I popped in for a late lunch a few days ago, and there were just a few people in line. While I was waiting to order, it was hard not to notice how dirty the restaurant was - both in the food prep area and in the dining area. I realize fast food restaurants get busy and they don't always do a good job of keeping the place tidy during the lunch rush, but it was around 2:30 and the place was a mess. I was also shocked by the prices. I have seen plenty of folks complain about the astronomical prices at Five Guys, but I figured it was just social media hysteria. Now I know better. This is not a budget restaurant by any means, so bring money - lots of it. I ordered a regular-size burger, fries and a soda and the total was $20! 🙄 It took forever to get my order. I don't know what took so long, but there seem to be a whole lot of nothing going on in the prep area while I waited. Maybe everybody was on break and just standing around, but it seemed like no one was interested in getting food to customers. The food itself was just meh. The fries were oily and tasted like they'd been sitting for a while. The burger was okay, but nothing special. The soda was flat. Again, if you're going to charge $20 for that kind of lunch, it better be very good, not just mediocre. If this is what Five Guys is like nowadays, I'm not going to be in a big hurry to come back. Very disappointing 👎

Go to West End instead. This location is the worst ever. Has always been slow since they won't employ a full staff. Now intermittently closed or only online orders (but you still have to wait when you pick it up) Great example of how not to run a business.

The service sucked. The guy at the cashier made multiple mistakes and I had to repeat myself a million times to him. I said to add mushrooms after I said what i wanted on my burger, and he literally just gave me a party, meat and mushrooms. what about the lettuce, ketchup, pickles and tomatoes I asked for? Ridiculous.
