I’ve never had such a frustrating experience at a Krispy Kreme. I waited in line for over an hour, finally placed my order, and was told to drive up to the window so they could finish helping me there. When I got to the window, they’d put in the wrong order, so they fixed the donuts with no problem. But when I mentioned the two iced coffees I had originally ordered, I was told they “weren’t doing iced coffees right now.” I asked for hot coffees instead, the employee said yes, and even took my card. Then another girl came to the window with a horrible attitude and told me they actually wouldn’t make the coffees because they “had a whole line of people behind” me. She even said, “The customer is always right, but that doesn’t mean I will be fixing this order.” Mind you, they had already proven they could adjust my order—since it was their mistake in the first place. Instead of correcting anything, I was told to pull forward and stop congesting their line. It was rude, unprofessional, and honestly unbelievable. After waiting that long and being spoken to like that AND being talked about and laughed at by the staff, I won’t be returning.

Food is great but after an hour in the line was told that they "couldn't hear me" and needed me to pull up to the next window. Fine, no problem. At the next window they said well we closed out your order wrong and there's nothing we can do about it so you just have to take the wrong order. They kept shutting the window to talk to each other as I tried to speak. Then they proceeded to have an attitude with me and tell me that there was a line so it needed to be kept moving. When I asked if there was anything they could do to make it right they got very argumentative and said well the customer is always right but we aren't going to fix it. You can pull up over there so you don't hold up my line. When I asked what I would be pulling up there for they said I don't know because we aren't going to do anything for you. The whole exchange was very rude and really soured my mood. Here's hoping the donuts are at least good. Update: donuts are fine. Still pretty upset after being treated so rudely. I understand if its not going your way that day, but please try to treat people nicely instead of yelling at them for asking for what they want. We don't know your experience or what you're going through. It's too much for somewhere that is supposed to be in the service industry. Won't be back and won't be surprised if this place fails if they keep the current staff.

I was really excited to finally try a Biscoff donut. We even got in line at 5:30 AM. By 6:07 AM, the cones were already taken down, and when we pulled up around 6:15 AM there were only about five cars ahead—so far, so good. But the service was honestly disappointing. The women taking orders were noticeably rude, and they told us they were already out of all specialty donuts. I had my heart set on the Biscoff or the New York Cheesecake, but they only had the basics. I figured it was fine—I was just happy to get donuts at that point. What really made the experience frustrating was that we asked several times for a half dozen, and the two girls kept rolling their eyes and repeatedly charged us for a full dozen instead. On top of that, when I asked for decaf coffee, the cashier didn’t even seem to know what that was. Outside wasn’t much better. The employees directing traffic weren’t wearing any reflective or safety gear—just hoodies—while trying to guide cars. They really need proper Krispy Kreme coats or safety vests for that. Overall, the excitement didn’t match the service.

While ordering the donuts the worker on the speaker said that they were out of that specific donut and then listed about half of the menu without saying if those were the donuts they had or the ones they were out of stock of. I asked if I could have an Oreo donut which was one of the donuts he listed and the man said “no we’re out of those” so I figured that what he had listed was what they were out of stock of so I then asked if I could have a maple donut which was one of the donuts he didn’t list and he immediately said “ma’am are you being serious” in an incredibly rude tone as I could hear a girl in the background of the microphone laughing and then he said the list of donuts that they were out of again… the maple one wasn’t even on this list again so I know I didn’t hear wrong the first time but I gave up anyways since I didn’t want to cause trouble and asked to just have the most basic donuts that they wouldn’t be out of. When I pulled up to the next window to pay and get the donuts the girl I heard laughing said “are you guys not able to hear us out there or something??” Yet again in a really rude tone and then handed me my donuts after I said “oh I thought that the list he said was the ones that you guys had in stock” and in reply she just laughed and said yeah okay. They also got the order completely wrong even though I ordered the simplest order possible that avoided the plain glazed donuts, they gave six plain glazed donuts. I understand that there was a very long line since they had just opened but they were completely disrespectful and honestly quite mean.

I waited more than 3 hours for these donuts. That’s not the core complaint of my review. It’s opening day, and so that’s expected. It took a little longer than 2 hours to get into the store. And to my surprise, a little longer than an hours wait time even while I’m still in the store. When I finally was at the front of the line, I realized why it was taking so long. There is a need for training. There is a lack of communication between staff, staff are not vocal with customers or each other, there is lack of efficiency and urgency in the line, I could go on. Placing the order and leaving with the donuts took near an upwards of 10 minutes which is ridiculous. Maybe on opening day there should be more than just a single person packing donuts for customers at a time at the registers. I mean, there were 2 cashiers standing that were doing absolutely nothing but waiting for people to check out in this chaos. I get that their role is as cashier and their compensation reflects that, but Id like to believe that with customers waiting in a line wrapped around the store, every worker would have their hands tied. Things will most definitely look better in a couple weeks when lines begin to cool down and the hype settles, but at this very moment there needs to be a more efficient system and urgency to keep the lines moving. As for the donuts, they were descent! But def not worth waiting in a crazy line for. Us Minnesotans are crazy and I love it!
