  Never actually got the chance to eat here. The problem is that even though we made reservations weeks in advance for my fiancée’s 30th birthday, when we drove out of our way (1 hour round trip) for this dinner - it turns out they are closed!? Even though we had a reservation, we received no call to let us know, no heads up or anything. What a shame, and a waste of time on what was otherwise a great day. We were really looking forward to having dinner here!! We hope that one day we can remove this review and replace it with a better one when we actually get the chance to dine here.

  We had never heard of this wonderful place until we saw the Sushi class offered. Our son loves cooking new and fun things so I signed him up. While we waited we tried an appetizer at the restaurant. The wings were beyond surprising. They are brine, smoked and then fried. WOW!! Our new favorite in town. It is a mix of high class meets small town casual. The Sushi class was a monster hit This is a MUST for trying amazing new menu items and classes that are a rare find for this area.

  My wife and I decided to celebrate the end of a long maple syrup season and ended up at Notch 8. I was thinking of of a steak or walleye but when the waitress told us about the Tuesday Suschi special i decided to go for it. What a surprise, it came on a platter and was visually stunning. There were three full rolls and all normal trimmings. The individual tastes of each roll were excellent. Much to my wife’s surprise i ate the whole thing. When checked on by waitress i told her i was already looking forward to having it again. A side note, i have diabetes and i have to be careful what i eat. This masterpiece was fine with my numbers! Can’t say enough about it. I am not one to write reviews but this deserves one. It was not cheap but felt value was equal to my experience.

  A truly upscale restaurant set in an old industrial building that appears to be over 100 years old. The food was beyond phenomenal, from the expertly crafted and delightful flavors to the plating. The intimate setting was perfect for the occasion. The food came surprisingly fast, as did the drinks! My Old Fashioned cocktail was top notch, and my Ahi Poke bowl was the best I've ever had. Oh, and the Creme Brulet was one of my best ever also!
