The line grew longer behind me and then a very disgruntled woman started yelling about an order she had placed earlier that day, screaming at the door to the back room to speak to a manager (who clearly wasn’t available or there) The barista remained calm and friendly and polite. There’s something to be said about someone who can get your order right and in a timely manner. But there’s even more to be said about the awesome service you get when there’s clear stress and commotion. I applaud the gentleman working the drink counter and the manager who eventually came to problem solve. Great duo. Nordstrom is lucky to have those two. As for the potential customers coming to a small coffee shop at the MOA during holiday season, be kind. Your words, tone, and intention are a big factor in how someone else’s entire week could feel. Practice kindness and patience with those who are simply serving you.
