After years of being away from NC and living in places where there were no Bojangles’, I’m happy that Michigan finally gets to experience one of the best fried chicken spots in the United States. I was hesitant at first, given that they are only serving tenders (the unfortunate “raising canes effect”) but I knew that Bojangles chicken supremes dwarf any other fast food tenders. I was proven right. From the service to the crispiness of the chicken, I felt like I was back in NC. The chicken was fresh, seasoned, and fried to perfection. The fixins were great too, we got the dirty rice (one of my favorites), Cajun fries, and coleslaw. Bojangles has always been known for their fresh biscuits, and they were perfect, a yin yang balance of buttery and flakey. Back in NC, they usually have a jar of seasoning so you can add more if you’d like. They didn’t have that here, but I asked the staff and they filled me up a plate of seasoning since I like my chicken extra seasoned. Overall, if you’re tired of bland chicken tenders, come to Bojangles. Make sure to get a sweet tea and honey mustard with your meal for the full experience. I hope that one day they add bone in chicken so the Midwest can enjoy Bojangles to the fullest.
I'm from the South and was expecting the same menu. There was no fried chicken or sides and no pimento cheese options. Just chicken tenders which are okay but not what I came to get. Just disappointed in the limited menu. They really missed out on showing people what real southern chicken is like. Much better than KFC and Popeyes.
Came in the morning with my fiance. Nakia was great and food was amazing !! She was super attentive and asked was it our first time and made sure our experience was top tier, introduced us to all the sauces and really elevated our experience she encouraged us to come back for lunch and trust and belive we willl! The cashier was also amazing i just dont remember his name.
I arrived about 30 minutes before closing and my food wasn't as delicious as it should have been. The chicken was dry and the fries were crunchy instead of soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I'm pretty sure it was due to them closing soon because they were just about done with cleaning the place.
Chicken was tasty and biscuits were good, as for everything else I was disappointed. Macaroni and cheese tastes like Kraft from the box, family meal comes with a gallon of tea or lemonade which we had to ask for after being given our order and told to have a nice day, fries were so salty that they were inedible, and didn't receive all of our sides (the missing one was a second mac so we wouldn't have eaten it anyway. My biggest complaint is not being able to talk to a person, you have to use the kiosk. Wanted to taste Bojangles because I'd never had it, now I can say I did and won't ever again.
