  My daughter downloaded the McDonalds app on my phone and told me to use it. The first time I used it I was traveling and nervous since I didn’t understand how it worked (I’m over 60). I ordered my food on 3/30/26 around 5pm, then pulled up to the Tawas City, Michigan location. I gave the drive through person the number and they didn’t recognize it. They asked if I selected drive thru or inside pick up. I told them I had no idea (as this was my first time using the app). He then asked me a number of questions I don’t recall before asking me to pull forward where I handed him my phone and he looked at it another 3 minutes or so. He then said he’d have to get the manager. After a couple minutes, she came over and looked through my phone and told me, “you selected pickup, not drive through. She just stared at me at that point. WOW. Of course my food was cold by the time I picked it up. Does this location have a brick wall between the drive thru area and the counter area? The order number I gave the drive thru employee was exactly the same as the order that was sitting in the “pick up” area inside the restaurant. He couldn’t just walk over to look at the pick up orders rather than having me hand him my phone to finger through it for 3 minutes? (not to mention having to call over his boss to do the same?). His boss couldn’t walk over to grab the food once she realized my error? I had to park my car and go in to retrieve my cold food. I think I was punished for my (old man) lack of technology.

  Ordered McMuffins asked to have the edges not burnt as I can't eat them crispy and get down the road on my way to work just to find out they are really burnt, called to talk to the lady and she was very rude will not be going back there for a long time, not the first time I've had problems with this McDonald's particularly.
