  Amazing view from upper level rooms. Canada is right across the river! This is actually a pretty cool place to stay, and I am very picky about where I stay.

  The River Crab has always been one of our favorite restaurants. This time, we celebrated two special birthdays at lunch. Our reservations were honored and the table was perfect. Our server, Eric, made our lunch a beautiful experience. The food was delicious, the service was kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was the best. Thank you, and we’ll definitely be back!

  Great food, horrible and worst service I’ve experienced personally. I don’t usually leave reviews, but after what we experienced, I feel like people need to know. We had a group of 8 celebrating my sister’s birthday—something we had all been trying to coordinate for a long time. What should have been a special night turned into one of the most frustrating and humiliating dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the very beginning, our waitress was careless and dishonest. I ordered a simple gin with sparkling water. The waitress came back and said the machine that dispenses the sparkling water was down and decided—on her own—to bring me a bottle and charge me for it. I NEVER agreed to that. When I told her I didn’t want the bottle and would have preferred soda water, she refused to take it back and made a scene about it in front of my entire group. It was embarrassing and completely unprofessional. Then she expected me to pay MORE because of HER mistake. It only got worse from there. While taking our orders, she told us soup and salad came with the meals. That was a lie. When the bill came, we were charged extra for both. No explanation, no accountability. Then my wife and I ordered an entrée to split. We were brought the WRONG dish, already split in half. When I questioned it, she blamed her manager and gave a completely ridiculous excuse. She said her manager was supposed to give our meal to a different customer after our waitress split it. If you’re splitting a meal, how do you not realize it’s the wrong one, but then go ahead and blame your manager who had no fault in it? It made absolutely no sense. We ended up stuck with food we didn’t even order. The disrespect didn’t stop there. My wife was offered dessert and clearly said—TWICE—that she wanted it for here. The waitress boxed it anyway and literally left it ON THE FLOOR. My wife had to tell her multiple times not to put her food on the floor, and instead of apologizing, the waitress argued and said it would “look less messy” for when they bring the cake. Then she picked it up from the table and tried to put it on the floor like that was acceptable. I was honestly shocked. Moreover, a member of the group ordered a salmon entree. The waitress asked her if she wanted the salmon glaze on top of on the side, implying that it comes with the glaze. She said she wanted it on top of the salmon. However, when the bill came, the glaze was an extra 10 dollars that was not specified at all. And to top it all off, we were told there was mandatory gratuity for parties of 8—but our group was split into separate checks. Despite that, she added 18% gratuity to EACH check anyway. We were already planning to tip, but forcing it like that—especially after such terrible service—felt like a slap in the face. The entire experience was full of lies, excuses, and disrespect. Our celebration was completely ruined. I have never felt so uncomfortable and disrespected at a restaurant in my life. I will never come back, and I strongly recommend others think twice before going here.
