  They filled the bowl as if a 5 year old child was eating, terrible portions and the food wasn’t fresh at all

  I visited the restaurant this week around 7pm and I’m not sure how any manager/owner would allow the restaurant to operate this dirty. The food in the assembly line was all over the place, rice, beans, etc were all over the counter. There was food all over the kitchen floor. The tables were dirty and the trash was overflowing in all three bins. Last time I was there was a over a year ago and it was just as bad. They have plenty of people working so there’s no excuse for the mess.

  Where do I even begin with this location? I’ve been coming here on and off for about two years now, mostly because it’s the only Chipotle close to my home — but at this point, it’s getting ridiculous. Time after time, my mobile orders are missing sides or key ingredients I specifically requested. And when I do go in person, the staff at the register and line don’t listen or communicate clearly. It feels like no one actually cares about getting your order right. To make matters worse, I’ve been overcharged multiple times — including being billed for guac on the side with a vegetarian bowl, which is supposed to include guac for free. That’s basic Chipotle 101, yet somehow it keeps happening. I’ve called corporate twice now about the ongoing issues and lack of integrity at this location, but nothing seems to change. It’s disappointing to see such a consistent pattern of carelessness and disregard for customers. If you care about getting what you pay for — or being treated like your order matters — I’d recommend going to another Chipotle if you have the option.

  I’ve been a fan of Chipotle for years and usually go to the Lakeside Circle location in Sterling Heights, where the food and service are consistently great. My visit today to the Shelby Township location on 23 Mile was the complete opposite. I was the only person in line, with only a few other diners inside, yet I stood there for almost ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged me despite nine employees being visible behind the counter. When I finally sat down to eat, the restaurant was filthy. Nearly every table was covered in food remains, used napkins, and empty trays. All the trash cans were overflowing, and there were no forks or napkins available. Even the chair I initially sat on was broken. It’s shocking to see this level of neglect, especially with so many employees on shift. This location desperately needs better attention to basic cleanliness and customer service.

  Expect a certain level of consistency with this type of restaurant. Service was good, everyone smiling. Very little chicken in my bowl, and the corn was borderline frozen. Bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the Cold War however. Won’t stop here again.
