On December 25, 2025, I placed and paid for an order through the McDonald’s app.
The app showed the restaurant was serving dinner until 10:30 PM.
The order was accepted, confirmed, marked as “being prepared,” and then “ready for pickup.”
When I arrived, the restaurant was completely closed. There was a sign on the door stating the restaurant was closed on Dec 25, but this was not reflected in the app, which continued to accept orders. DoorDash was also accepting orders from this location.
Several customers were outside in the same situation.
I contacted both the restaurant and McDonald’s support multiple times. I was repeatedly told the charge was “on hold” and would reverse automatically. Instead, the transaction fully posted on December 29, and no refund was issued.
As of January 5, the issue remains unresolved, and I had to file a bank dispute to recover the money.
Posting this so others are aware.

Ordered on the app and was met at the drive thru window with confusion. Apparently I committed the unforgivable error of saying I would pick up inside instead of at the drive thru. They said they had no order me and said I would need to come in. They finally found my order, so I had to go in with a 3 year old and carry out food for 5. You couldn't figure out I was in a different line and pivot? Just a terrible experience. Like it was 2 different "restaurants". No thanks

I ordered a big Mac meal with a chips ahoy frappe and I got my meal alright, but they didn't give me a frappe they gave me a chocolate shake with chips ahoy dust on the top like they thought I wouldn't notice. I'm not even mad, I laughed every time I took a drink on the way home 😂 I don't even like shakes but this is probably the best one I've ever had.

The worker Justin hit on my friend and gave her his number and told him to call her. We were all very creeped out and disgusted.
