  We were with friends that raved about the place but our experience was just meh. We got the slider special and we're very underwhelmed. Food came out cold and a couple plates looked like they literally took a full sized burger and cut it in half, so just a sliver of burger in middle of the bun. They did remake these and they came out warm and as you would expect.

  Stopped in to get a breakfast sandwich to go as I had a 9 hour ride back to NC. I met the owner while I was at the bar waiting and he was a nice man from Albania. We had a nice chat while I waited for my food. When I got in .the car I found this sandwich to be great! Fried egg bacon and cheese on wheat toast was excellent. Thank you sir for the hospitality! Next time I will make more time to eat inside

  I was at this location last week. Food was ok. Not very warm. Not impressed. Didn't like the way owner was speaking to her waitress. Very disrespectful. For this reason I will not be returning.

  Went here at a friend's recommendation. Maybe it was what I order which was the Porky Pig breakfast meal. I took it as a carry out as this place is 50 minutes from my home. The restaurant was nice and clean. It was the middle of the day so I believe that's why it was such low patrons. The food was dry😩. It just wasn't what I expected 🫤. Any who, I'll give them a try if I'm in the neighborhood again. I'll just order something different. It's just that this particular meal was so hyped up I was excited to try it. Just to be kinda Iet down.

  This IS one of the best restaurants in Monroe. An “every day” type of family restaurant that has a very large menu selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A place you can grab a wonderful meal, without breaking the bank, and get something different every day. Large portions of food, prepared well. Unlike other family style restaurants that cook with an ungodly amount of cooking oil, this place is not a greasy spoon. They also have an attached bar, next door, and offer great mixed drinks, beer or wine for their customers. Monroe Grill is also a very clean establishment. The owner and staff keep up with their daily cleaning chores and make sure their establishments is always clean. The owner, and staff, are always friendly and, if you frequent this restaurant they will become good friends in no time at all. If you’re looking to grab some morning breakfast on the weekends be prepared to have to wait for a table. Like most great restaurants, Monroe Bar & Grill is quickly becoming a popular destination.
