  I was the only one in the drive thru ..I sat at the speaker for 10 minutes before someone asked me what I wanted to order ..I kept being interrupted during ordering she kept saying wait one moment then disappear from the speaker for 5 minutes and this was constant I dont understand it..then I got to the window she kept leaving the window..for a hot dog and a piece of chocolate cake they wanted 15 dollars..I can go buy plenty packs of hot dogs for that price ...outrageous expensive mid food...wont ever return

  Got an Italian beef sandwich here with both hot and sweet peppers - it was delicious! I also got French fries, a Coke, and a slice of spiced cake for dessert. I'm glad there's a Portillo's here so I don't have to drive out to Sterling Heights to grab a taste of some of Chicago's finest.

  Placed a delivery order for myself and 2 coworkers, order arrived and everything was there except my food. When I called, I was told there was a mishap and my sausage was left out of the bag accidentally. The gentleman said he’d issue a full refund. Cool, but I want my food. He said I’d have to talk to the manager and put my on hold for 5 minutes (lunch rush, I get it), and then I was cut off. I called back, and was told I would get a voucher for my missing item, but no food or refund. When I said I wanted my food, I was told I “could come up and they’d give it to me.” I ordered delivery for a reason. Will be a long time before I go back.

  First and LAST time ordering from Portillo’s. They leave DoorDash orders sitting out on an open rack for literally anyone to grab. So guess what? Someone stole my $50+ order and when I showed up, the “acting general manager” just shrugged and said someone already picked it up. No apology. No urgency. No solution. When I tried to explain it was MY order, she repeated herself like I didn’t understand, then stared at me like I was the problem. Meanwhile, your system is the reason my food walked out the door with a stranger. If you’re going to run on an “honor system,” expect people to take advantage of it and maybe don’t treat paying customers like they’re lying when YOUR process failed. Unprofessional, careless, and a complete waste of money. Do better.

  I am originally from Chicago, so I have been commuting to Sterling Heights location just for this craving for the past few years. However, I was soooo excited when they opened one close to me in Livonia and I ordered a big beef pickup order from Uber eats. I was extremely disappointed because I ordered a big beef and got even less meat than the amount that was on the regular size beef sandwiches. I this is a costly sandhwihc just to receive a table spoon of meat and I’ve never had this issue with portillos until this location and I’ve been eating portillos for almost 15 years. And I could not call to get a remedy for this inconvenience because they closed right after my pickup. This is just extremely disappointing because with this new location being so close I would have been a very frequent customer. Instead I feel as though my money was wasted due to whoever lazily made this sandwich. Mind you even a regular beef has more meat than this and this was supposed to be a BIG BEEF but it was nothing but bread.
