I have been going here for years & I haven't tried every dish yet. Everything I've had so far is very good.

It's been a while since I've gone here. I've ordered from here quite a few times in the past and the food was great. Never in my life have I ever seen such oily Indian food, ever. It was gross and after eating a little bit of it I had to throw it out. I'm going to guess they're under new ownership, it's definitely not the same. Do not recommend.

My review is based on my experience with the Indian Buffet today 10/16 and also reminded that I told myself a few years ago I would not return for the buffet! That said, I have had good experience with carrry out meals in the past, but it’s been a while. I would put this one in the common category of restaurant quality in the area declining and a theme of maximizing profits at the expense of quality and customer experience. General: Most of the items I tried tasted pretty good, but in general everything was room temperature or cold. Also, my observation during my stay, which was at least 50 minutes, was that only 1 tray on the buffet was refreshed despite several of the trays being nearly empty and certainly had been sitting out for a long while - and I was there at peak lunch hour starting at 12:30pm. Items I Tried: Rice - Cold. Dry and never refreshed. Chicken Tikka Masala - Cold and had a lot of onions for some reason (never experienced that in Chicken Tikka anywhere else before). Chicken Manchurian - Good, but cold. Panner Cubes - Cold and rubbery. Chicken Tandori - Never refreshed despite only a few small, old, cold, cruddy dry scraps remaining in the tray. No chicken drum sticks at all and no decent thighs pieces. Chicken Curry - Very good, but not hot enough. Another item not refreshed and when I took my second helping it was nearly empty. Palak Panner - This was hot and tasty. Other Observations: Naan - 1 single piece stayed in the tray as if the staff was wating for that 1 piece to be taken before replenishing. Noodles - Nearly empty the entire time and never refreshed; started to dry out. 2 staffers checked the buffet multiple times, but did not replenish with the one noted exception. Despite a nice weather day and core lunch period, there were only a handful of people in there. Two tables did not get the buffet; they must have known better. Summary: Skip the $15 buffet and order from the menu; perhaps you will receive hot and quality food and the staff will have pride in there results.

Went and tried the lunch buffet and it was amazing. The staff was very attentive and filled up my water glass several times. The food was very good quality, the chutney was very fresh and vibrant, and the Gobi Manchurian dish was my favorite and tasted awesome. The only criticism I have is that it wasn’t easily apparent that there was naan at the buffet until I saw someone open a serving lid and pull out a piece of naan, but otherwise I thought the buffet was excellent. I’ve tried other Indian buffets locally and haven’t been impressed, but Raj Palace was a very good place and I will absolutely return.
