Took the Family for Dinner before we watched The Bears game, service was great. We had a milkshake that was mis ordered and the manager took care of it herself and made it right. Thank you for the great service.

I love Portillos in downtown Chicago and was excited when this new one opened in Livonia. Unfortunately, it just doesn't measure up. I love a good Chicago hot dog and Portillos Chicago was consistently one of the best. Sadly, tge 2 I had tonight in Livonia are mediocre at best. Soggy, waterlogged buns, bland taste. Really unfortunate. My son had a beef sandwich and it too just wasn't up to par.

We recently moved from Arizona but have also lived in Texas and they both have Portillo’s so we were thrilled to find that there were a few in Michigan as well. Food is great, easy to order at the kiosk or at the front. Everyone is friendly and food comes out hot and delicious.

Wonderful location, ample of parking spots, public washroom available. $10 promo was not available but the flyers were on each and every table which was misleading. Kiosk ordering is available. Store closes at 11 pm. Kiosks were open at 10:15 pm but we were unable to checkout and ended up ordering at the counter. Friendly staff. Drinks and desserts were self serve. Upon selecting, Beef sandwich it automatically comes without peppers or cheese and we have to add it separate.

Ya Absolutely not.
First and Foremost this place makes no sense. It's the size of an airport terminal for what is essentially a large "hot dog" stand. I am not sure who made the decision to make it this large but a Taco Bell size would be more than sufficient. Which leads me to my next point if they wanted to down size it to 0sq/ft that would be in our best interest.
Is it that bad? No it's worse.
The hotdog itself isn't too bad but for almost $7 a hot dog thats crazy. Especially considering the best hot dog known to man is next door (Home Depot). However price no object its Ok. The chilli was ok but not memorable, I would say Ok is being generous to it but any place that sells chilli I give the benefit of the doubt.
Here's what gets me, that italian beef sandwich. It was so bad I felt guilty for the cow that passed away for it. WHY? The meat is absolutely devoid of seasoning. 0 zip none. The peppers are pickled which normally is good news. However even those are nonexistent of flavor. So what you get is soggy bread, bland meat and pickles. The put a ?sauce? Which they say is Au Jus. What it is is just water and spice/heat. It adds no flavour just a burning sensation. Exactly the same as Hot pepper extract. So here you go a "world famous" sandwich. Bland meet and peppers, soggy bun and "Au Jus" that squirts you with capsaicin extract and water.
