This is not close to me, but they have turned me into a regular, recurring customer based on service alone. That said, the bagels are AMAZING. Detroit Bagel does make great bagels and cream cheese, and I often stop in before work to grab breakfast. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this place is the staff. They are consistently beyond rude. I’ve noticed that regulars are treated warmly and pleasantly, but if you’re not one of them—or not somehow in their good graces—you’re treated poorly. No courtesy, no “thank you,” no “have a nice day.” Nothing.

He stopped in once to bring us home some bagels and cream cheese and now he goes back every time he’s there’s Bagels are fresh and I am a native New Yorker and I’m so happy I can have something that feels close to home. They are fluffy and flavorful and please please try their homemade cream cheese! We live for the onion and garlic one!! It’s sooooo good! Prices are fair as well.
