  I recently visited the Dave & Buster’s in Livonia with my family and unfortunately the experience was very mixed. We purchased three of the $59.99 Eat and Play combos for the kids, and I do want to give credit where it’s due. We ended up losing one of the game cards and the manager was extremely accommodating in making sure the free meal was still honored. That level of understanding and customer care was truly appreciated. However, the rest of the visit did not match that same standard. I went to the bar to grab a drink and watch the football game and sat there for quite a while without being greeted, even though the bartender clearly saw me. The bar itself wasn’t busy, yet the environment felt rushed and unwelcoming. When I was finally acknowledged and received my drink, the overall energy was tense and uncomfortable. The bartender I interacted with, Dana, came off very cold. Later, I spoke with a friend who had been there the day before and they mentioned having a similar negative customer service experience with her as well. When we sat down to eat as a family, the attitude continued. Our waitress was noticeably hostile. She slammed my drink on the table and did the same with my cousin’s food. It made what should have been a fun family outing feel awkward and unpleasant. The food itself was just okay. I ordered the sampler with sliders, wings, and fries. I tried asking about the spicy Korean wing flavor and the waitress seemed completely uninterested, simply saying she only eats buffalo wings. There was no effort to be helpful or welcoming. I had been told this location was better than the Utica one, but based on this visit, I wasn’t impressed. It’s disappointing, especially since I was hosting family from out of town and hoped for a fun, upbeat environment. The manager’s assistance was the highlight, but the overall staff attitude made the experience one I’m not excited to repeat.

  Nice place overall, but the no–outside food policy felt a bit rigid. Not everyone eats fast food, and the vegetarian options were limited.I let the host know I was observing a religious Daniel fast, which limits what I can eat, and that I had brought my own food. She politely explained that outside food isn’t allowed. The dining area was nearly empty, and my two adult kids were eating, so a little flexibility would have gone a long way. We did spend money here, including on games, so it wasn’t like we weren’t supporting the business. In 2025, people have dietary preferences and restrictions, and being forced to sit in the car to eat instead of with your family isn’t reasonable.I hope they reconsider changing this policy.

  Word of advice dont buy the unlimited package. You can only play the blue and green games. Then when you tap the card to play the games it doesnt work. I spoke to a manager before I left and he wasnt any help. Needless to say my children still have play time, they barely go to use and didnt want to stay. Ill never return.

  There were so many things broken, it needs to be cleaned and how are you giving time limits to play games now? No thank you, I won’t be returning.
