My most awesome Daughter in Law in Texas knows how much we enjoy your food and after 2 very Senior citizens came down with this new flu strain ( not covered by the flu shot) she went into action not knowing what we like- she blessed us with your Mickie Mouse pancake, egg and sausage burrito, soup, steamed vegetables, rice, plus.. Thanks to her, Side street diner and door dash we will not starve. Hats off to everyone getting us through this awful ordeal

When I am in the Grosse Pointe area, I always stop at the Side Street Diner. It is clean with cute, fun décor. They have delicious comfort food. All their homemade soups are terrific. I especially love their dill pickle soup. My favorite entrees so far are the roast turkey dinner and the meatloaf dinner. Save room for their desserts, which are made fresh daily. Their cakes and the peach cobbler are fabulous. The servers are friendly and helpful. I met one of the owners when checking out. She was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Lowkey spot, very kitschy/messy decor, and a massive classic diner menu. The brunch was pretty meh, none of us were overly impressed. Omelette was plain, the breakfast potatoes on the side were very bland. Immediately everyone had to add salt and pepper to their meals because it really lacked flavour. If you’re looking for mid-tier, low-priced food, with a relaxed atmosphere, this is the spot.

I was able to order lunch today for all of my employees working on Christmas Eve. There was something on the menu for everyone's different tastes. They allowed me to order ahead and customize meals, all while being incredibly patient and kind. Everyone loved their meals—one employee who couldn’t eat hers until later in the day even said, “You know it’s really good food when it’s still just as tasty eaten cold.” This was such a pleasant experience all around, and I would highly recommend eating here.

The restaurant received commendations in its reviews. However, upon my visit, I found that the feedback did not accurately reflect my experience at this establishment. It appeared unprofessional; the food was served cold, the ceilings were dirty, and the waitstaff displayed rudeness. One can often discern the character of a restaurant owner through their employees. Based on my experience, I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Best of luck.
