I cannot say enough good things about Pind. My partner and I have celebrated countless anniversaries, birthdays and date nights here; we find it hard to go anywhere else! The staff are very kind and the servers are always attentive, checking in to make sure waters are filled and that we have everything we need. Staff/atmosphere aside, the food is insanely good; we leave ridiculously full with a decent amount of leftovers literally every single time. Pind genuinely holds such a special place in our hearts and I hope the staff knows how much we love and appreciate them + the food! The mango lassi is a must, I dream of the Gobi Manchurian + the Veggie Korma, my partner loves the Dal Makhani and the pakora/samosas. We always order more than we could possible eat, and have such a difficult time choosing between our favorites and trying new foods on the menu, literally everything we have tried has been fantastic. We went earlier today and are now reminiscing over all of our fond experiences there and decided we had to leave a review. We love you guys! ❤️

Beautiful establishment. (Really nice bathrooms) Very attentive staff. Not hovering, but you definitely know they're keeping an eye on what you need. Had the chicken sabjiwala. It was delicious, tender and flavorful. Garlic naan was perfect. Highly recommend.

Exceptional food and service. We love the lunch buffet but it’s also our go to for takeout. Never disappointing and everyone is always so nice.

We put a to go order in for noon and picked it up and stuck it in our insulated cooler and drove two hours north of GR to enjoy great Indian food with my elderly parents. Food stayed hot and tasted wonderful! My stepdad is 87 and spent two years in India studying back in the mid-1960’s. PIND brought back memories of the exquisite food he had there. Thank you!

I have been going to this indian buffet for roughly 5+ years now. pre covid one of the best buffets in town would have been awarded to curry kitchen when they were on diamond and fulton ([as one of my reviews would affirm] however post covid, curry kitchen failed to solidify location and food quality and has fallen from the high standard they help provide and has unfortunately been on a downward criticism ever since)
That being said. I have found Pind to rise as the leader in the local indian restaurant scene ever since. Pind has honed in consistency and menu diversity. They offer buffet daily from Noon to 2 and its honestly the best way to enjoy indian food (in abundance and with options). while you can still order off the menu at that time, i dont recommend it. the buffet has a salad bar, dessert, and nearly a dozen dishes to choose from and they are always rotating the buffet menu daily. from vegetarian to meat lovers, its all there and the flavors are proper. you can tell they have a concept and a balance to the items they put out so that there is something for everyone.
if you are new to indian cuisine or a habitual eater, your gonna like the options.
the service is excellent. Preet the maître d is usually always there when we go. He demonstrates his sincerity at providing genuine hospitality to all his guests, he knows his patrons, and he does his best at providing a standard for the experience every time. there is a level of care provided overall that cannot be hired easily, but said care is dispatched with a sense of pride and value across the board. extremely kind and inviting.
giving atmosphere 4 stars is a bit unfair as i feel grand rapids outside and downtown is a bit of a hassle and unsightly and that blame really doesn't rest on Pind. across from the restaurant sits the vacant charley's crab and a huge asphalt eye sore of a parking lot (until the devos's build their unnecessary towers in the coming years which, is probably worth its own full review...). its a bit depressing. the sidewalk on Pind's side is so narrow, its hard for them to utilize their outside patio space as often as a result without the whole restaurant absorbing noise and air pollution like a sponge, which would essentially kill their atmosphere harder unless remedial considerations were taken.
Pind is the right move if you love flavors, come hungry
