First time at this restaurant we came for the New Edition concert from Toronto were on our way home on Sunday Feb 22 and wanted to try this spot. Were told the wait was 2 hrs but thank you to the beautiful hostess for finding a table so grateful. Our server was Darius he was amazing great customer service friendly professional although he broke my heart when he said he had no chicken wings😭 lol the food was amazing the fried salmon bites 👌🏽had the shrimp pasta with salmon😘. Def would come back great service, staff and atmosphere. Thank you for our pre bday weekend we appreciate and love to see our own win 🏆 ❤️ Nuff Respect to the manager for coming for checking on the customer's. See you again!

Disappointed, and won’t be back. It was our first time at the restaurant. The vibe was nice. The atmosphere was comfortable. I ordered beignets. They looked like the photos we’d seen online on the outside but were undercooked. I then ordered shrimp and grits. This meal was described as having a gravy sauce. I was excited about this. When it came out I didn’t notice right away that the sauce was dark red. Online it looked more brown. I dove right in and instantly got a bad taste in my mouth. It was not gravy, it was barbecue sauce. I scraped it off. The waiter came over and asked about it. I explained that the sauce may not be correct. He went back into the kitchen and came out to reiterate this was the sauce they always use. I was disappointed that there was no quality control, and instead of admitting the error, they dug in with it. Integrity matters to me. We’ll take our business elsewhere.

Unfortunately my experience at this restaurant was incredibly poor. I arrived at 9:30, I was greeted immediately by a very kind hostess. Everything went downhill from here. The waitress we had (Ashley) was slow and had horrible communication. She took our orders for mimosas after a long wait and then let the glasses sit at the bar not pouring any mimosas for 20 minutes! The place wasn't crowded at all, and i now know why. She never communicated that she didn't have the blueberry syrup for my requested mimosa and after flagging down the nice hostess to ask her to inquire she let us know this information. Our waitress then came over with these mimosas without any apology only to discover that they had used blue coloring for my drink? So it wasn't blueberry at all just blue. My water never got refilled, she never checked on us to ask how things were going cause if she had she would know I was unsatisfied with my drink. I had to go ask another person to remake me another drink and they were happy to but also very slow moving. The food eventually came, after waiting another long wait to order then to get the food, and it was decent but I wouldn't anywhere else ever pay $30 for a 1 piece of bread French toast plate. That's ridiculous. If you're from Detroit don't waste your time. The quality and customer service is subpar to any normal diner you've ever been to for 3x the price, go to coney! poor customer service and AUTOMATIC 20% gratuity regardless of party size. I was a party of 2. If you're from out of town, risk it for the biscuit and try literally ANY OTHER PLACE. I won't ever return and I am disgusted with the lack of care and concern at this place. Shocked! ***ended up speaking with the manager. Big mistake. He took zero accountability for everything. Said it’s a “popping” place so basically poor customer service is to be expected? Horrible take from him. To be clear, it’s not popping. Sunday is peak brunch time. Zero wait, and empty restaurant. Good luck lasting with terrible management and abhorrent service.

Loved my visit to Sugah Please. The staff was super friendly, my salmon was cooked perfectly, and the drink I ordered was amazing. It was about an hour drive for us, so I was hoping for a slightly larger portion for the $38 price (my photo is zoomed in, so it may look bigger than it was). Service was also pretty slow. Overall though, great vibes and quality food — just plan for a relaxed paced dining experience.

Horrible, horrible experience!! We were there 2 and 1/2 hours!!! It took 30 minutes just to get coffee and mimosas and the bar was within arm length of our table. The coffee was served cold, and had to be sent back for a fresh hot cup. The food took another 45 minutes to come and it was cold and not made the way we asked. We sent the food back to be heated and that took another 20 minutes. We asked for silverware and napkins 4 times and a different server ended up bringing us plastic and paper napkins. The best part of this brunch was the R&B playlist and the beignets! Do not recommend!
