As soon as I entered this place, I instantly caught a vibe. I heard about this place on Tik Tok and wanted to check it out The atmosphere was that of a scene from Waiting to Exhale with all of the classic 90’s R&B and ambience. The staff was super warm and welcoming. Toya was the best. And I have a new favorite drink: Tiffany Mimosa 😉 When I’m back in town, I’ll def be visiting again.

What a fantastic experience. Food, ambience, service was great. Sugah Please is in a beautiful historic location, a total vibe. Music was perfect for Saturday brunch vibes, and the TV’s at the bar meant we could still catch Saturday football. We started with the catfish bites which were flavorful, light, and crispy. We both had the omelette with crab and shrimp. It was light and fluffy, perfectly complemented by the brioche toast. We ordered sides of well seasoned potatoes and bacon. Everything was perfect. Cocktails were also on point. Would definitely make this a regular go-to.

My husband and I visited **Sugah Please!** and were blown away. The service is amazing—Darius is top notch! Our drinks stayed full the entire time, and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the catfish bites, a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, a meat lovers omelet, and grits—everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. We were checked on several times by different employees, which made us feel truly taken care of. The vibe and atmosphere were great, and the background music was calming and added to the experience. Whenever we come to Detroit, this will always be one of our must-stop spots. Highly recommended!

I chose to have brunch at Sugah Please for my birthday with my mom, and it was a wonderful experience! The wait time was only about 20 minutes, and our waiter, Darius, was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing brunch. The food was unique and absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be returning to try more dishes. I highly recommend!

We got there at about noon. We walked all the way from Hudson Café to Sugar place to have breakfast. It wasn’t crowded. It took them forever to take our drink orders. It took them forever to take our food orders. We waited about an hour and a half to receive our foodon a Monday morning. It was a lot of items that were missing. They don’t communicate with you with what they don’t have, they just give you what they think you should have. The fish and grits were good, but the fish could’ve been dry harder my daughter’s shrimp and a fish platter. The fish was not fry hard. The shrimp was barely battered, and even the five on a Monday morning. It was a lot of items that were missing. They don’t communicate with you with what they don’t have, they just give you what they think you should have. The fish and grits were good but the fish could’ve been dry harder my daughter’s shrimp and fish platter. The fish was not fry hard. The shrimp was barely battered, and even the five-year-old who was eating a shrimp spit it out and said it didn’t taste right They gave her regular potatoes instead of waffle fries and didn’t tell her that there was no waffle fries the toast was drenched in butter. My cousin ordered the omelette with the lobster and shrimp and it was missing lobster and it only had three pieces of shrimp in there. The manager told us that she can adjust our bill and that was it Service was horrible. The best part about my experience there was their runner who name was Nancy. She was awesome. She will be the only reason that I will go back to sugar please will you ask the manager what else can be done about the bill? She told us that’s all she could do if she can’t take off meals she can only give you a discount. I feel like if they change management it would be a different atmosphere. The waitress told us they only had one Cook the waitress told us that if we got more fish, we had to wait for it to unthaw whoever the owner is needs to look into new management and you will have a great establishment my fish and grits at home run circles around that meal my cousin tried to order fried green tomatoes. They were out of them.
