Only got the Tortilla Soup cup $4.56 incl tax. Pretty lukewarm, not sure it’s at a food safe temp (but I also don’t know Detroit regulations). Also, the prices listed in the menu photos are old. Chicken is now $13 something for their other items.

Hamze did a great job. Although we were there a bit before opening time, he hustled and got all the breakfast items out in time for us to get our breakfast before our flight boarded. My chicken breakfast bowl was excellent and just what I needed before our early flight. We were at the Delta terminal, so atmosphere is not expected to be 5 Star and high-end, but was perfect for what we needed.

The location was not clean. There was old food laying on the counter. I ordered a bowl the workers were extremely rude especially the guy that rang up my order. His attitude was the worst. He asked me what I had I told him I had a bowl. He was very snappy when he replied WHAT KIND OF BOWL! I said chicken and then he just walked off. He never said your total is, or anything I didn’t know what I was waiting for. I looked down and seen what I guess was my total. I swiped my card retrieved my own receipt and reached behind the cash register to get my food and bagged my own food. He never said another work to me. His service is horrible along with the woman and guy that were preparing the bowls.

Worst Qdoba that I’ve had. Ordered a chicken bowl. No choice of rice - only has white, rice was mushy, chicken tasted burnt, beans were not drained prior to being added to the bowl which made the rice even more soggy. Paying with cash seemed like an inconvenience to the man at the register, whom was asking every person to leave a review. No clue if I was charged correctly. When asking for a receipt, he moved on to another customer. $24 wasted.

Airport food is generally a pretty utilitarian undertaking, and an airport fast food joint is not the place I’m looking or expecting to get great service or genuine human contact, but that’s exactly what Hamze and his crew provide. It’s not always the big things. The little things like a genuine smile and sense of authentic regard go a long way in this time of hurry, disconnection and isolation. Big ups to Hamze and Co — they show up in a way that is doing work bigger than simply providing a solid meal; they’re feeding the heart and the body one customer at a time.
