Our waitress had a negative attitude and argued with members of our family over how our order was taken. She then stated that we owed her an apology, which was surprising and uncomfortable. We were visiting with family from out of town after church and expected a welcoming environment. Customer service is extremely important to me, and allowing staff to interact with guests this way reflects poorly on the restaurant. Sadly, this experience makes it a no for me.

All of my food was served cold, and my smothered pork chops were completely wrongāchopped up and scrambled instead of a whole chop, which is not how smothered pork chops should be served. While the staff made an effort to correct the mistake, by the time my food arrived, my husband had finished eating, and I had lost my appetite. This reflected a lack of care in both preparation and quality. I expected much more from a soul food restaurant known for its traditional dishes and attention to detail. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as customers deserve properly prepared, hot meals and attentive service.
