We ordered our doctors office lunch in individual meals from here we did have to wait because it was a big order but the food was great and most importantly they didn’t make any mistakes

Everything was going great until the food came out. Started with some wings and a bloomin Onion.....after eating one which was tasty aside from oozing sauce which I thought was strange being a dry rub, I Had to ask if the wings are tossed in butter because of the pools of something congealed which turned out to be fryer oil was flat out nasty.... On to the Bloomin Onion which are hard to ruin, overcooked and ignored is the only thing that you can really do... Which of course was the case. On to the main courses.... Delmonico ribeye, a steak I cook regularly. It came out a monochromatic Gray, far from the requested temperature and with a meat texture I'm not familiar with. It was kind of shocking that a steakhouse would produce such a thing for what is generally an excellent cut of meat.... Smiling and shocked I move my gaze over to The the Bloomin Burger.... I had never seen a burger from any restaurant come out looking like this.... It was coated in a strange gooey substance and it was a very odd color of Gray as well. Obviously the end of the night or some remnant cooking leftovers from prior food cookings, again just simply disgusting. The bloomin onion petals look to be the ones that were stuck in the fryer basket and have been through several cycles of fryer.... noting a strange film on them as well. I used to eat at Outback frequently. Love how they seasoned their food and once upon a Time genuinely cared what came out of their kitchen. The had lamb chops with a Cabernet sauce that was awesome years ago....So at this stage it is Impossible to determine whether the chef is completely inept and should not be anywhere near food production, or just does not have an effort level for much. Either way beyond unacceptable when providing food for people. The manager Matt, God bless him... Comes over looking a bit disheveld, which may be the new look for the kids nowadays....but no worries I suppose. I tell Matt to look at that Burger.....And his face literally contorts with how frankly disgusting the burger looked. Then I moved to the steak....I very politely asked him have you ever seen a Delmonico? He answers yes, I direct his gaze to our plate and ask him, do they look like this? And with the same cringe face he made when looking at the Burger and fumbling through a few sounds which seem to be the start of a thought... Matt says "yeeeeah ours is different".... He then offers the idea that I choose another meal for them to make. I debate in taking him up on his offer being supremely hungry and disappointed of course...while debating if I should take the risk on ingesting anything coming from the kitchen...my better judgment takes over and while I am declining Matt's offer and explaining free food is not my style ... Matt clarifies it is not a comped meal. I would be paying for this new and improved meal. At that point I realized dinner is not meant to be and help was not available. We counted our losses and headed out. If the food matched the level of fake enthusiasm in there, we would have been champions. This is not The Outback of yesteryear..... We'll probably not entertain eating at these restaurants again...At least not when a proper meal is the the main goal. Hope this helps save somebody a disappointing experience.

Gena was a great host/server! Very well taken care by all. The steak was cooked amazingly well! Thanks to the cook for that one. Even though we came 45 min before closing, everyone was happy to keep our refills coming and the food was fresh and great tasting, appetizers and all!
Highly recommend this place!

My visit to the Outback Steakhouse in Clarkston started off great thanks to our server, Gena. She was friendly, polite, and incredibly attentive. She noticed immediately when one of the drinks at our table was made incorrectly and handled it perfectly. My brother actually liked the mistaken drink, and Gena told him to keep it while she went to get the correct one. Her service was excellent and could have made this a five‑star experience.
Unfortunately, the manager completely changed the tone of our visit.
Shortly after Gena left to fix the drink, a woman who identified herself as the manager came to our table. Instead of approaching the situation with any professionalism or courtesy, she was rude from the moment she opened her mouth. She told us that if we wanted the drink we originally ordered, we had to give the mistaken one back. I tried to explain what Gena had said, but the manager cut me off, insisted we return it or be charged, then grabbed the drink off the table and walked away without another word.
We never saw her again for the rest of the visit.
What should have been a simple, easily resolved mistake turned into an uncomfortable and unnecessary confrontation. Gena did everything right, but the manager’s attitude overshadowed her great service and left a bad taste in what could have been an enjoyable experience.
