I’ve been to RH in CHI and NY and unfortunately this one did not pass the vibe check. We had an reservation. Our dinner started off with this burnt (supposedly charred) bread. I requested it be taken away for the alternate option. We wernt offered water until 15+ minutes after being seated and we were sitting right in front were dozens of staff could clearly see. Food took about 50 minutes for two lobster rolls, truffle fries, branzino and mashed potatoes. We didn’t order any appetizers or desserts. Food was a 7/10. My fiancé really liked the branzino. My close friend unfortunately had an unpleasant experience a few days later with the hostesses not being warm and hospitable. I will give them brownie points for giving my fiancé a cookie with a candle for his bday!! I know they just opened, so hopefully they can work the kinks out over the next few weeks so that this location can be as good as the others!

The place is gorgeous, wonderful atmosphere. However, the food that we ordered was a let down. We ordered several dishes and they were fine, but the main reason the ratings are down was the $54 steak and frites that were tiny and overcooked (asked for medium well, server did kindly offer to ask the chef to recook). However the portion was the main shock and concern. I got a lovely email 3 days before joining and used the photo in the email as reference to order the steak frites (I’m also a food photographer for restaurants) so I know well that photos can be misleading, but not as much as it was here. Attaching a photo for reference of expectation and reality. This should’ve cost $35 max. It was 5 small bites. If you’re dining here, please order something else.

I had a very disappointing experience with the reservation process. I had booked a table to celebrate my husband’s birthday for the three of us (my husband, our toddler, and me). Later, our friends decided to join, so I called the restaurant around noon on the day of our 7:00 PM reservation to see if we could add three more adults. The woman who answered the phone seemed uninterested and told me she would check and call me back. After waiting nearly five hours with no response, I called the restaurant myself. A different person answered and again asked me to wait while she checked with management, assuring me she would call back. I finally received a call just one hour before our reservation time, saying they could accommodate five adults and one toddler, but that the seating would be very tight. By then, it was too late and too stressful to proceed—especially since this was meant to be a special birthday celebration—so we had to change plans and go elsewhere. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, delayed responses, and last-minute confirmation completely took away from what should have been a joyful occasion. I understand restaurants get busy, but better communication and timely follow-up would have made a big difference.

I really wanted to love this place, but honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We came here for the atmosphere, but the service was a total disaster from start to finish. I ordered the steak frites and waited over an hour and twenty minutes for it to come out. When it finally arrived, the steak was stone cold. How does a kitchen make you wait that long just to serve cold meat? The worst part, though, was the lack of integrity. The waiter was apologetic at first and told me to pick something else on the menu, explicitly stating it would be comped because of the massive delay and the ruined meal. Well, the bill comes, and the "comped" item is sitting right there at full price. It’s one thing to have a slow kitchen, but it’s another thing to lie to a guest just to get them to stay. I ended up paying for a mistake they admitted to making. If you’re looking for a place that actually values its customers, this isn't it. Beautiful rooftop, but the management and service are a mess!

The Good: Stunning atmosphere! Absolutely spared nothing on the details, beautiful build out. The Bad: Pricing is high. Somewhat expected but seems out of touch especially on more simple items like sandwiches, appetizers, and drinks. The Ugly: The portion size is ridiculously small, everyone of us (4) left there and went home to eat more food as it was simply too little food. To be more specific, my wife ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad - you couldn't even find the protein at all, possibly 5 small pieces. I ordered the Lamb Chops, these were what is considered lollipop chops and there was 4. The lobster roll also left much to be desired. The fourth item, their Burger was good size, and what you would expect. I will say the flavoring or each meal was on point. If you're going to expect to charge an average of $50 per plate, then you must plate the meal accordingly and RH isn't doing that at all, for that reason other than a wonderful atmosphere, be prepared to leave there unimpressed and feeling like you've been had!
