Unfortunately, our experience at Rainforest Cafe was not a good one. We were a party of 11 and waited over an hour for our food. During that time, several smaller parties who arrived after us were served and eating before we were. When we asked about the delay, we were given inconsistent explanations. First excuse that large parties have all food prepared together before being brought out, then later that smaller parties are served before larger ones. The lack of a clear explanation was frustrating. When our food finally arrived, it was EXTREMELY cold, likely due to the long wait. Our server also did not check back for refills or follow up, and by that point we had been there nearly 2½ hours. The atmosphere is fun, but the service and food quality did not meet expectations. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience.

First time dining at a Rainforest Cafe myself. Long wait for a table (well over an hour for a party of four), but that is more on us not putting in a reservation. Our waitress was great (host stand being the exception, they were not very friendly), food was mediocre at best. Not worth the cost, but a unique experience. My son, who is close to one, had a great time looking at all the animals and the thunderstorm. This was the best part! From an adult standpoint, wish there was more to it… my wife remembers rain many years ago (not anymore), but it literally is just lights going up and down with sounds. The “Awesome Adventure” appetizer plater was NOT awesome at all, chicken tenders were soft and the Mexican chimichangas tasted reheated in a microwave. At $22 for the plater, the quantity and quality was dreadful. My burger was good, have had better, it was cooked a perfect medium though. Fries were middle of the road. The chicken sandwich my wife ordered same deal, has had better but was good. More than likely, will not be coming back based on the cost to experience ratio. Better restaurant options for the price out there.

We had a reservation with friends for 6pm. We arrived at 6pm and were told the table was not available yet. The table FINALLY became available at about 6:20pm. (Weirdly, there were multiple empty tables near our table). Anyways, service was extremely slow. Took about 20 minutes to get a server to come to the table to take our order, another 20 minutes for the waters and lemonade to come, and the food came about 1.5 hours later, which is absolutely crazy. Obviously, the vibe is great for children, but the service was not nearly where it needs to be. The food tasted okay but was extremely salty and we had to drink multiple glasses of water after. Overall, the bill was quite high for two mains and one lemonade at a chain restaurant like this. On top of that, it seemed each time a customer ordered a brownie lava dessert, the staff would sing to the customer. We witnessed this about 10-20 times in the 2 hours we were there, but the staff seemed a bit annoyed that they have to sing. The song wasn't even over, yet some of the staff members started walking away from the tables. A bit awkward to watch when they didn't have any enthusiasm to do this.

Be prepared to spend close to 3 hours here for mediocre food at best and horrible service. We had an hour wait for a table on a Tuesday evening at 4pm which we chose to accept. However, we waited an additional 90 minutes for our food. During that time, our waitress never once came to our table to ask about drinks or give an update on our food. We had to flag her down multiple times for drinks and ask about our food. Burger buns were apparently out so it was substituted with texas toast which was basically bread as it was not warm or toasted whatsoever. Expect to pay above average prices for food you could make at home. Although our little ones love the animals and aquariums, we will not be returning after this visit.

Poor experience tonight. The kitchen was short staffed, so it took an hour to get our food, but then it got served to the wrong table, so they had to redo it that took another 20 min. One entree never came, and when the waitress came by she was surprised that it hadn’t been delivered, she went and got it but it hadn’t been sitting in that back since the other food came, so we turned it away. The floor around us had food and dropped silverware from prior guests. Awful experience.
