The self checkout at the grocery store I’ve been coming to for years flagged me because the camera incorrectly thought I was trying to steal a single package of baby food, accusing me of not scanning the pouch before putting it my bag (the cashier came over, rewatched the camera footage while I stood there embarrassed, then confirmed the camera’s error)- but would never have a feature that would alert me if I was double charged or if I accidentally scanned a $16 cut of steak twice. A $1.55 package of baby food. This was the last Hannaford experience I will have, there are plenty of local places to support.
