  The quality of the food is awful: Today, I asked for 1/2 lb of Angus Roast Beef at about $20 a lb. 1/5th of each slice was black. I understand it is because it is close to the end, but for $20 a lb, the entire slice should be rare to medium rare RB. I have gotten this type of cut in the past and ended up having to cut 1/5 of the RB off before making sandwiches because it is hard and tastes bad. The worst part is the way the employees look at you as though you are being unreasonable. Well, if they stand by it, they should use a picture of that barely rare 1/5 black RB. -Yesterday I had grapes from Hannaford and it had the absolute worst after taste In general. The quality of food here has gone down significantly in the last few years. I wish there were more grocery store options in my area. I guess I am just going to do my best not coming here. It is just too often I come here and the food is awful. The other day I bought the absolute worst rotisserie chicken from Hannaford. I had thought most of these tasted the same but somehow Hannaford made it gross. The meat looked bad and dry and it tasted terrible. Someone else commented that a Market Basket is coming into the area. I cannot wait.

  We shop here alot, prices are ok, I do like the staff. They are always helpful and knowledgeable. Hanaford brands are great.

  I go here all the time as I have zero other choice except Walmart. I wish Hannaford didn't have a monopoly and am excited Market Basket id moving to town as I plan on going there even though it is not as close. What I don't like: -Expired food. Stay vigilant, I have seen expired food more times than I can recall. Once an entire section of pre-made food was expired by several days. I showed someone who worked there and when they looked, they sighed like it wasn't uncommon -When you ask for Deli meat to be cut thin, most of the employees seem annoyed, like so annoyed that when they ask "how's this" I usually say yes even if it isn't because if you annoy them too much, they will cut it so thin it is like shredded (yes that can happen to RB and it has happened to me so many times -Old deli meat. How is that on multiple occasions I have gotten roasted beef only to look when I got home and it was slightly slimey and off color -Prices are ridiculous -The people who work there are sort of rude. Especially the managers. I don't know how to descriv5it but I have gone up to the managers countless times since covid and they act annoyed or they don't seem to care. They will answer you then go right back to talking to one another so its like you interrupted a conversation but they always act like that (conceited). The normal employees though are all nice, super nice. It is just the managers and most of the deli staff. -Deli is closed early too often or not enough people show up to work so they don't have hot food -Eggs can taste and smell super eggy. Like the entire house smells like suffer which is often when eggs sit around -Hannaford brand milk, when my kids or I use it for cereal, it makes your teeth and gums like squeak together like it is leaving a film -Not enough choices, it always surprises me the lack of choices for such a big store -Break can be stale -pre-made sandwiches are not good. The pre-made food is not good ( the hot bar can be good though. I have seen those anti Hannaford ads and I totally agree with them. That is whyvi am leaving this comment, to share my experience as a dedicated, long term customer (i have no choice). Again, I could not be more excited Market Basket is coming. It is five mins further from my house but wow what a difference (I go to the one in Westboro if I am out that way).
