  Be sure you check your pickup order before you leave because they may forget something. The entire point of ordering from Shaw's was that Hannaford didn't have any pickup times left for the day, but the bag that had the stuff I needed tonight was somehow left inside the store. I'm really tired of feeling like a bad person for making employees wait for me to check every bag to make sure everything is present, but this keeps happening over and over again at different businesses often enough it would just actually feel fully stupid to keep trusting anyone at this point and not take the time to check, every time everywhere.

  I find Shaws to be a bit overpriced, but historically it’s worth it to shop there. That is until tonight. I’ve been searching for a specific bottle of wine that my wife has never had. I drove to the Lewiston location from my home in Wales. I went into the store to find that they had three bottles On the shelf, so I got one ticket to the register. The girl at the register asked me for my ID I don’t carry a wallet anymore. Who does? Everything is electronic nowadays, including using my phone to make the purchase. I am 58 years old. I have gray hair and a gray beard. I am clearly not a pubescent teenager with a fake ID trying to score a bottle of Boones farm. I asked the clerk if she could take a Digital copy of my ID to which she promptly responded, “No. I can’t sell it to you.” She then took the bottle and set it on the counter next to her register. I remember the days up to turning 21 years old when I couldn’t wait for someone ID. Now that I am at my age, I don’t feel like wasting the time to have to produce my ID, even if I had it with me. It’s absolutely not the law to produce the ID Because I in no way appear near or under age to purchase alcohol. This is nothing more than a store policy, And won that is an inconvenience to someone like me. Guaranteed that I will never step foot in another Shaws.

  I’ll go there and see people working with no name tag . Also I’m not sure whose actually stocking during the evening cause three stockers where following every time I shop and the security guard also leaves. His post and walks on around the entire store . That being said if the security is making rounds who’s gunna watch the front ? If you have three stockers following one guy and you guys are making uncomfortable . How are you guys gunna catch actual thefts focused on person ? Yet theirs other people in the store. I personally, went up to someone there told them hey I love 6 minutes from here but every time I come here everyone’s following me . To every aisle” I’m I worked in retail before and I’m aware that. All your employees aren’t “lost prevention”. The women told me don’t take it personal they follow everyone I’m like theirs people in the store now and I don’t see them following no body ? Didn’t get her name due to her having no name tag I think who ever is actually lost prevention they need to that whoever is a stocker do that whoever is a security guard do that . Even if someone steals you can’t run up and grab them but yet I see as I enter the store their stockers would stock one thing then I see them at the because stock another the next aisle it was getting pathetic followed by the security I just thought I put it out there how uncomfortable you guys make me when I go there also there was a kid missing one day you your actions and timing on things where like nothing . Your security guard wasn’t even at the self check out the employees at the self checkout was still locking eyes with me aside from attending the kid I’m just saying make these things make sense.

  Most of the time, the staff is willing to go out of the way to help you find the item.You need. And they'll go out back and look .
