Always a great experience. Troy the bartender was awesome.
The bartender working last night treated us with open disrespect from the moment we walked in. He spoke down to my wife and cousin, rushed us to order immediately, and made it clear we were not welcome. We were told we couldn’t stand where we were, then abruptly instructed to order a drink and move to another room, all with an attitude that felt intentionally hostile.
This wasn’t a misunderstanding — it was deliberate and dismissive behavior toward paying guests. For an establishment that presents itself as upscale, this level of treatment is unacceptable. The try-hard outfit and forced “I’m funny” persona only highlighted how unserious and uncomfortable the interaction was.
Hospitality was completely absent.
My friends and I made a reservation for the Tinsel bar on a Saturday at 4p. Online it says they have happy hour and we went hoping for that. When we were sat the server didn’t mention anything about happy hour nor was there anything indicating they had that. My husband asked if there were any drink or food specials and the server said no just the holiday drinks on the printed menu. We didn’t push it because we assumed either a) they didn’t have it on weekends or b) they didn’t honor during the holidays. After leaving we found out they do in fact have happy hour every day 4-5p. I reached out to them and someone apologized and offered us to come back and we could get an appetizer or round of drinks or them. If I knew my server blatantly lied to a table I would refund a portion. This was a special trip and turned into an extremely expensive one so we will not be returning nor would I recommend a place that is deceptive like this. I’m not sure what the happy hour is since the person who emailed me wouldn’t answer what exactly
It includes. Regardless, it was highly disappointing. I gave one star for decorations.
Lovely cozy intimate place for a romantic dinner. Excellent food and service.
My wife and I used a KBK Resort Collection gift card to check out this local spot. I have to say, we weren't exactly impressed. First, you have to enter the restaurant through the hotel and that was just a lucky guess on our part as we didn't see any viable signs or directions for the Burleigh. After a few minutes of awkward loitering inside the entrance we were finally greeted by a hostess. It was a warm fall evening so we expected that outdoor seating would be possible but it wasn't. We were seated at a tiny table about 2 feet from a table of 4 people already eating. We kind of felt like we were sitting at their kiddy table. I assume there are other rooms of dining because we saw others coming and going but all we could see from where we were seated was the bar area...which appeared busier. We asked the gentleman who seated us if he was also our waiter and he says "oh, yes....in fact I'm everyone's waiter tonight". So short staffing seemed to be an issue on this night. Nice kid but clearly overworked. To sum up, the drinks were pricey but tasty. The steak tips and accompanying items we both ordered were decent but the ambiance was just nonexistent, at least where we were seated. I don't think I'd go back unless in a pinch.
