  We live here year round. The staff is great, smiley and efficient! However, on the products variety side, there’s been a clear deterioration over the last few years. A lot of good quality, loved items disappeared little by little, discretely…Many times we need to drive to Ellsworth to get what we want instead of buying in Bucksport. When asking why such or such item has suddenly disappeared, we’re told it’s “corporate’s” and not the local management’s decision so it feels like there is nothing you can do but just watch this happening …even if you know a product is at the Ellsworth location but not in Bucksport, there’s no recourse. Also, it is a very busy location in the summer, being at a US 1 crossroads. Many times, things here and there are out of stock. This is a predictable pattern, and they should increase their inventory ahead of time to prevent this. Or make a larger store in that location nearby. People were talking about this a lot, but it looks like this useful project was abandoned.

  The bakery department is phenomenal! I ordered a maritime themed cake ( from out of state no less) and the awesome woman in the bakery department created the most perfect cake for my son's MMA crew! Thank you!

  Not sure what you changed but the rotisserie chickens are horrible . The last 3, and this will be the last time, were not edible. Taste like paper, no flavor, rubbery texture. Not sure what you are doing different but I will not be buying a rotisserie chicken from the Bucksport Hannafords again. I have never had this problem at the Blue Hill Hannafords or the Belfast Hannafords.
