Good prices and selection BUT employees keep putting all my groceries in 1 bag even though i give them multiple bags to use. I've contacted management twice in the past because of bag straps breaking due to employees not bagging correctly . Management took care of me but employees are still doing it wrong.

I usually have zero issues with this or, really, any Hannaford. I have found, lately, that pharmacy techs have not been checking to see if a controlled substance can be covered by insurance on a particular day. Instead, they blatantly lie and say the script cannot be filled that day. They said I have to pick it up on day 15 if a 15 day script. That is so not true, its disgusting. The employees in pharmacy, Id imagine, love the fact that they can almost tell patients anything they want if it means they can push my script off till the next day or beyond. If something does not seem right, its not right....so, I call my insurance company if I feel I am being misled or even lied to. Insurance informed me that, in fact, I can get my controlled substance script can be filled on day 13 of a 15 day script. The insurance company was not happy that this pharmacy was not being honest, by telling me it could not get filled. The issue is this....I have gastrointestinal issues that my Dr and the senior pharmacist here know about. I throw up medication, sometimes, within 5 min of taking it. This happens a few times per month and it forces me to run dangerously low of my med and usually get my med filled on day 14 anyway. But, to tell me that I must wait until tomorrow is simply not true and Im getting tired of pharmacies and their techs saying this stuff, like they are told to lie to customers. This is not the only pharmacy that pulls this crap either. Ive had this happen at Walgreens, Shaws, and Community Pharmacy near Maine Gen. It needs to stop if patients are to be trusting the place they get meds from. Do better, please.

Hannaford in Augusta is an okay grocery store — it gets the job done, but it’s not perfect. The selection is usually pretty good, and I can find most of what I need, but sometimes popular items are out of stock or the produce isn’t as fresh as I’d like. The store itself is clean enough, but it can feel crowded and a bit disorganized during busy times. The staff are generally friendly and helpful when you ask, though customer service can feel hit-or-miss depending on who’s working. Prices are about what you’d expect for the area, but not always the best deals compared to other stores. Overall, it’s convenient if you’re nearby, but it’s not the most consistent grocery shopping experience.
