However, when I returned to work from my purchase yesterday, I noticed that the large fries I usually receive were in a small bag instead of a cup, and the portion was only half the usual amount. I plan to try again next week, but if this is a new policy, I will reduce how often I go. I hope they were just out of cups and that a new employee prepared my order.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
