I called headquarters who told me they would issue a refund and that has not happened. I also noticed the setup of this store is unlike any other Safeway I've been to. It is very implicit, however, getting in and out of the store makes you feel like you are locked in. Very disappointing.

She complained to me that I was using one of 4 checkout lanes (they were all empty and there was no line) and started complaining over and over that she now has to watch me scan all of my items and proceeded to stand less than a foot away from me the whole time I was scanning and bagging. She then asked my uniformed husband why we were even shopping there, and kept making comments to me about how inconvenient it was for HER that I opted to scan and bag my own items. There is no item limit posted and no one was waiting. I nearly walked out without my groceries. Never going back there.
