On December 6 at approximately 3:30 PM, I had an unpleasant experience at the self-checkout while purchasing a pack of donuts for my child. The item was clearly marked and scanned at $5.45 along with my other groceries. A self-checkout attendant informed me that the barcode was incorrect and claimed it was for muffins, not donuts.
While I understand that pricing errors happen, the way the situation was handled was disappointing. The employee took the packaged donuts and walked around the self-checkout area, asking others and mixing the item with other merchandise, instead of addressing the issue at the register. This not only felt unprofessional but also raised food safety and handling concerns, especially since this was a ready-to-eat item.
As a customer, I felt uncomfortable and inconvenienced. The error was not mine, yet the resolution lacked clear communication and proper customer service. I asked to speak with a manager because I expected a calmer, more professional approach and appropriate food-handling practices.
This review is not about the price, but about customer treatment and proper handling of food items. I hope management reviews this situation and provides better training on both customer service and food safety.

So they decided to shut customers out at this location about 15 minutes before they close. Stores in our area have been doing this lately. So many of their managers/employees are lacking in their work ethic. Some grocery stores in our DMV area want to start cleaning the store hours before closing….sweeping up and even mopping up the stores on some case. The employees tent to have attitudes close to closing amd often times don’t even greet you upon checkout. Very disappointing!

It’s Sunday afternoon before Thanksgiving and you have two cash registers open besides the self service ones. Please think about that and ask yourself if that is right.
