I have been going to this location for years. The staff is generally friendly. This is a VERY old location. Their corporate overlord needs to renovate but refuses. My primary reason for reviewing is lately their pastries are BLONDE. Check out the difference between the app picture and what you get. All of the pastries and sometimes the breads are like this. Not really an issue with bagels.

No. The customers are very noisy. They talk on speaker phone. Today these men were shouting for around 25 minutes. I felt irritated. I remember when I had an extremely short conversation on my cell phone, the lady with the pony tail told me to go o outside. Then she said people work here. I have a job. I’m employed. I can make out the loud conversations today. One time, a man sang a whole entire song. I was only talking a little loud once, but it was a lot shorter than 20 minutes. It was more like five minutes. Now, I hear the conversation for around 26 minutes and no one is telling them to talk outside. Why doesn’t treat all customers the same? And the lady with the pony tail seemed to have trouble believing that I purchased my food. She asked for my receipt. But that’s fine because we need the right order. And another thing, I don’t like a manager who doesn’t work here anymore. It’s the biggest relief in the world. I’m timing the loud conversation. It’s been a half hour now. I won’t tell them to lower their voices. It’s so rude. Panera has noisy customers and sometimes there are laughing boxes here who irritate the hell out of me. I have schizoaffective disorder. I was upset that I was asked if I have a disability and what is the nature of it? I didn’t get a second interview so I talked to HR. Then I got my second interview, but I didn’t get the job at Panera even though I can do the work. I was kinda upset because I ended up with a job where I worked 6 days a week. I almost been banned because I mentioned that I wasn’t hired for my disability. But I still come because I don’t talk about it now. People can be downright mean.If I were banned for a reason which is not good or discriminatory, there is going to be a lawsuit. See you in court. I do worry that I will be kicked out for having schizoaffective disorder, but I could take Panera to court and I won’t be coming back. I will sue Panera so that they will be out of business. It was that I was almost kicked out for suffering from paranoia so I should have gone to the hospital, but why would Panera ask if the person being interviewed what the nature of their disability is if they aren’t doctors etc? It’s like the 1920’s here. Kind of reminds me when there was prejudices against disabled people during the Holocaust. I have the right to voice my frustrations because it is not illegal for me to do that because there’s freedom of speech, but I made a deal for me to not talk to people who work at Panera about this. They don’t have empathy and don’t understand the words upset, unhappy, and really upset. I am upset about what happened. It’s just that I don’t like sharing my disability with people who don’t know here, but I share it now since no one sees me physically. Noe the men have been talking loudly for close to an hour and a man is talking on speaker phone. I wish they tell them to leave. I feel like making a complaint, but I am afraid of being banned for being honest. This Panera doesn’t treat everyone the same. So, I don’t get it. Panera plays a song by the “Beach Boys “. The founder of the “Beach Boys” is Brian Wilson. Brian Wilson died a short time ago. Also, he had schizoaffective disorder. Heh. He was very successful. And I am an author. There’s this thing called freedom of speech. I shouldn’t be in trouble for warning people. The food here is very delicious. I don’t come here too much though. I like the reward thing.

The staff are friendly enough and helpful, but the main issue I have at this location in particular is that it is never clear which or how many registers are open, and you can'teasily see the other when you're standing at one. I could be waiting patiently at one, and nobody tells me to go to the next register for service...until another customer walks by and orders ahead of me because, gee, that register was open, but who knew? One time I waited, then walked to the next register to see if someone would help me there, and then someone helps another customer at the register I was just at! I am trying to be respectful of employees and let them take care of whatever work they need to do, and I make eye contact with them, but is it not clear that I'm waiting to be helped?
