  We came to celebrate my mom’s birthday and Sandra (the owner) went above and beyond to make the meal special for us. Sandra hand the Matcha beverages and gave us the most delicious fried cheesecake we’ve ever tasted for dessert! we can’t wait to come back and celebrate here again. Thank you, Sandra!!!

  Akagi has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Rockville. The sushi and hibachi are amazing and every time I go, I try something new and every meal has been so good! The staff are so welcoming and the owner Sandy is a gem. If you’re looking for consistently excellent sushi in a relaxed setting, Akagi is an easy recommendation. The Banana tempura for dessert is great and the matcha is amazing!!

  Great food and excellent service! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable and clean. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

  The food is very good, but there is no good food that can make up for bad service — and the service, especially for pick-ups, is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I have waited up to an hour past the time they gave me. I used to ignore the delays and the owner’s lack of care with pick-up orders because the food was good, and I ordered every weekend. But this time it was terrible. I chose this restaurant for my Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife. I placed the order well in advance specifically to avoid this problem — at 4:00 PM for a 7:30 PM pick-up — a $100 order. The owner simply said it wasn’t ready and that if I wanted it, I would have to wait another 20 minutes. I am not a nervous or aggressive person. I always try to put myself in the shoes of people who are working and to be understanding. But this time, her dismissive and careless attitude truly irritated me. I have genuinely given up on this place. I suggest improving your service, because the chances of your restaurant succeeding long term are low if this continues.

  Love the food and drinks here. I come for lunch all the time. You can place a quick order by phone and just pick it up, which is super convenient. The owners are amazing, and there are always new coffee and food creations to try. I love experiencing their new ideas!
