    12-22-25 Today was my first and LAST time shopping at this food lion!!! Whose bright idea was to invent this policy of locking up carts? And I have to pull my car up to the curb?? What an inconvenience!!

    On December 10, 2025 between the times of 8:30p.m. to 10:00p.m. Upon checking out, using the cashier line, which was the only line open at that time for fifteen items or more. The Cashier appeared to be very rude. At some point, during the check out experience, I observed the Cashier, on her phone face timing. I was confused, in who she was speaking with due to the black covering which appeared to be around her mouth and nose area, in which the conversation had no relation to my checking out process. I also, observed the Cashier placing some of my scanned items out of arms reach. In order to get my items, I had to go behind her were she was standing at the register. In my opinion, a customer should never have to go behind the Cashier to grab there scanned items to place within the grocery cart. After checking out, I requested four grocery bags which came up to twenty cent. I realized I didn't need that many bags and ask the Cashier to remove two bags, which should have brought the total balance of the grocery bags to ten cents. I noticed the balance, continously stated twenty cent. I asked the Cashier if two grocery bags could be removed and the Cashier explained, that on screen it will say twenty cent but its really ten cent. The process didnt make sense to me. After explaining to the Cashier the second time, the Cashier became fustrated and began to hit some keys hardly on the register machine and handed me my receipt very rudely. In addition, I noticed the Cashier did the same exact thing to my Mother who I was with at the time regarding her scanned items. I advised my Mother upon thinking at that time, to ask the Cashier to place the bag grocery items at arms reach. Upon, my Mother's request the Cashier placed the grocery items closer for my Mother to conviently grab. I usually, come to this Food Lion location due to the convenience of the store being near my home with my Mother, and usually I have a good experience each time I am unsure of what happen that day. To include, I notice on my receipt to submit a survey using the pin# provided had an alphabet (B) and a semicolon. When looking at the example, on the survey website it showed that the pin# should be numeric. Due to this reason, I was unable to complete the survey. I am unsure, if it was simply a glitch in the system. However, I was able to make a complaint to Customer care. Unfortunately, I was unable to go into depths at that time, and decided write submit a official review. Hopefully, this matter gets resolved. I would like to continue to come to this location instead of further away. I am open to make changes as well, if experiences like this continues to happens in the near future.

    I don't like that I can't take the cart to my car when I have heavy stuff. The carts lock. Next time I will go to a different store
