  1-Star Review Very disappointing experience at this Dunkin’ on Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena. I arrived around 7:58 AM and came inside just before 8:00 AM because I had mandatory work training from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and needed a quiet place to get set up early, make sure my access worked, and connect to Wi-Fi. Before even sitting down, I purchased a coffee and a cake donut. Around 9:07 AM, while I was actively in training with headphones on, a man (possibly the owner or manager) approached me and said “the chair is dirty, someone has to sit there,” referring to the chair in front of me. The issue is, my feet were not actually in the chair the way he made it seem. I simply had my legs propped up to be comfortable while sitting for a long period of time. My shoes were not muddy, dirty, or damaging anything at all. In fact, after he said that, I even checked the bottom of my shoes to make sure there wasn’t something I missed — and there wasn’t. I was sitting alone at a 2-chair table, bothering no one, taking up very little space, and had already made a purchase. Once he said something, I immediately said “okay” and put my legs down. That should have been the end of it. What made this experience so unpleasant was how unnecessarily rude and nitpicky it felt. People work and sit in coffee shops all the time. I wasn’t loud, messy, or disrespectful — just trying to be comfortable and get through my training. My husband later came in, bought a tea, and politely tried to speak to the employee who addressed me. He was simply trying to explain that I recently had ACL surgery and was sitting that way to be comfortable. Instead of responding professionally, the employee walked away while my husband was still speaking. Because of how uncomfortable the situation became, I ended up leaving during a break to go to the library. In doing so, I got locked out of my work training and now have to reschedule the entire training for another day. My family and I have been customers of this location since 2018, and after this experience, I will not be returning.

  this is the slowest moving dunkin’ donuts. if you have an hour to kill sitting in the drive thru, you should come here, if you want coffee that doesn’t take an hour you should go somewhere else. there is no sense of urgency and no customer service skills. staff is often rude.
