After waiting a very long time at customer service, an employee asked what I needed. I told her I just needed a book of stamps and attempted to make small holiday banter to be friendly. She immediately cut me off and said ‘we don’t have any.’ Obviously near the holiday I understood that they were sold out of stamps. But needing them so quickly I asked if there was somewhere else that sold stamps in the area and she said she had no idea. I asked when Safeway would be getting more stamps and she said she had no idea, she was just ‘there.’ I explained I came there to do my shopping as well, but I was so taken aback by her rudeness and unwillingness to help that I ended up leaving the store and going to the giant across the street who were happy to help me and had plenty of stamps!

When I asked about an offer, she was unhelpful, dismissive, and spoke to me and even another associate with a rude tone. Because of this, I requested a refund. I told her I was uncomfortable giving her my information, and she called another manager, Derrick, who was professional and helpful. However, while I was speaking with him, Heather jumped into the conversation again despite knowing I was uncomfortable due to her attitude. This type of behavior is unacceptable for someone in a customer service role.

Cashiers in the regular checkout lines don't bother to bag the groceries so the process takes twice as long while the cashier just stands there.
