While shopping in this store on New Year’s Eve with my friend who is an employee of another Giant she was insulted by a manager, name Seth Brown. As we were standing in an aisle instead of going around us he walks up behind us and says excuse me sir. She moves to the side and we simultaneously say she’s not a sir so he looks and says oh sorry sarcastically and walks away. I find him in another aisle and I say excuse me sir can I say something to you, he looks at me like I’m bothering him and says what is it, I say first of all you insulted her and secondly I’m sure some type of diversity training is required as not to use pronouns when you’re unsure. He looks at me and says I said sorry and that should’ve been enough. That’s the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen and heard in my life. Hr definitely needs customer service training. This is unacceptable treatment for any customer to have to endure! I had stopped frequented this store for quite a while after my son was profiled by a security guard and followed through the store while I was using the lottery kiosk and I had him order crab legs from the seafood department. After that incident I left without the crab legs and hadn’t returned until New Year’s Eve!

Except that there were not enough checkout lines open, I have no complaints about this store or my experience there.

I see how some people think they have the right to treat others with disrespect. I felt that I was being disrespected and discriminated by one person in the self checkout section and the “manager”. Even the security guard took pictures of me before leaving the store. I’m sure if I decide to sue the store, for sure and many reasons will win this case, but I won’t lower my self to the same low level of these people.
