  Oscar, Axel, and Carlos are absolutely top-tier bartenders. Their service is a solid 10/10 every time they always treat me great and make me feel welcome. On top of that, their drinks are amazing and consistently well-made. You can tell they really care about what they do. Highly recommend sitting at the bar when they’re working!

  This food is not good, not bad, but just okay. I’ve given it two tries to see if I ordered the wrong thing the first time, nope. I was disappointed both times. I had enchiladas this time and my partner had the meat tacos. Enchiladas were okay, not flavorful enough. My partner said the meat in his tacos were so dry. So many other Mexican spots with better food.

  This place has ruined all other restaurants for us. We don’t want to go anywhere else now, we come here every weekend and are always happy. My wife is an impatient woman and here, she’s always satisfied. Fast service, great food, and for the drinks; you get what you pay for at a fair price. Big margaritas. When we order queso, it’s on the table hot and ready within 30 seconds. The staff is friendly and prompt on making sure you’re taken care of. Never once had an issue here.

  Amigos has been our preferred choice for Mexican cuisine, primarily due to its convenient location and consistently good food. In fact, your restaurant often serves as our reliable alternative when other options aren't available, as was the case yesterday. Our initial plan was to visit Señor Tequila's, a place we enjoy, particularly for their exceptional fried cheesecake. However, with their closure for the Christmas holidays, we naturally defaulted to Amigos, confident in what we believed would be another pleasant dining experience. Upon arrival, we placed our usual order of Roberto's Especial, and I decided to add an Elote Loco, knowing how much my partner enjoys this particular dish. It was during her enjoyment of the meal that our evening took an unsettling turn. My partner discovered an unmistakable strand of human hair embedded within her food. This incident was not only unappetizing but deeply concerning. It immediately brought to mind the fundamental importance of stringent hygiene protocols in food preparation. It reinforces my belief that all kitchen staff should consistently wear appropriate hair and face coverings to prevent such occurrences, which can severely compromise food safety and a diner's trust. The manager on duty was alerted to the situation and offered a complimentary Blue Lemon Drop shot as a gesture of apology. While the sentiment behind this offer was noted, it unfortunately did little to alleviate our profound discomfort or restore our confidence in the kitchen's hygiene standards. The discovery of foreign matter in one’s food is an issue that goes beyond a mere inconvenience; it questions the integrity of the entire dining experience. Consequently, after careful consideration, both my partner and I have regretfully concluded that we cannot in good conscience return to Amigos in the foreseeable future. Despite the greater distance, we will be making Señor Tequila's our primary destination, or exploring other establishments that can assure us of a consistently high standard of food preparation and cleanliness. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, given our history with your restaurant. We hope you will take this feedback seriously to prevent similar incidents for other patrons.

  Ok, I hit this spot one day I was in Laurel. I wasnt too sure what to expect besides Mexican but I will tell you, they do not skimp on the portuons. I went with my 15yr old daughter after her doctor's appointment and she requested the "Carnitas Torta" (shreded beef sandwich) and I requested the "Mar y Tiera" (surf and turf). When they were bringing our order the table I thought they had made a mistake because both plates were huge but we were excited!! The portion sizes definitely got our attention. My daughter's Tirta was Huge and amazing, yes she let me have a bite. The frues were fresh and the Tirta was amazing. My Mar y Tuera was amazing as well. The stake was tender, the shrimp were cooked just right and the chicken was seasoned jusrt right. The guac was fresh and the rice was amazing. I will say that I was disappointed in the tirtillas. I could tell they were not havd made and they were not fresh. I think they may have been frozen or just not fresh. For the most part the food was amazing. I añmost forgot to mention the chips and salsa at the beginning was very good, especially since the chips were warm just how we like them. It seemed to be a giid atmosphere, it was early about mid day so there werent many customers but it looked like it would be a great happy hour spot or a good place to have a dinner date. The prices are reasonable, definitely a dinner date spot. I'm looking forward to going back to find out how strong their drinks are. See photos below.
