Very bad, racist staff. Today the staff at the self-checkout area were very racist towards the Hispanic person. They are all Black and that's fine, but the service was very bad.

Yesterday 11/4/25 I was there with with my mom who is 75. Standing long periods hurts her legs so she wanted to sit on the bench at the front of the store. Employees were sitting there and the gentleman didn’t slide over so my mom could sit (not very gentleman like) so my mom came back over and began leaning on the cart as I loaded the groceries. I asked her what happened and she pointed it out. I said, ask him to scoot over. There’s room for another person or two smaller people. Amanda (God sent) while ringing my stuff still, saw and asked the guy who does carts, to grab an electrical scooter for my mom out of concern. He did. She took time to explain how fast they can go and she was genuinely caring. Told her she could drive it to the car as I loaded groceries so she wouldn’t have to walk. She went above and beyond to help her team out as well supporting them as it was the only line open and she was swift and kind. She helped to resolve conflict witnessed as well with grace and elegance. Shoutout to Amanda. We need more of you!

Self-checkout at Giant gives me so much anxiety. No matter what I scan, the system is overly sensitive lights flashing, alarms beeping, and I’m stuck waiting for an attendant. Meanwhile, the lines are long, and it’s just a bit too much. I got home only to realize I paid for paprika but it never made it into my bag. There has to be a better process. And with the way prices are already through the roof, I just want my paprika!
