    Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service at Giant Food La Plata – Employee “Angie” To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unprofessional behavior of an employee named Angie, who was working at the Customer Service Desk at your La Plata, MD location on 22 Oct 2025. Earlier today, I approached the customer service desk to ask for assistance in locating an item I couldn’t find in the store. Angie had just finished checking out a customer, and the two of them began engaging in a personal conversation. Despite clearly seeing me waiting at the counter, Angie made no effort to acknowledge me not even a simple greeting or “I’ll be right with you.” She turned her back to me and continued chatting with the other customer. I waited patiently for approximately five to seven minutes, but she still did not assist or even recognize that I was waiting. Ultimately, I had to step away and ask another employee for help. Thankfully, that person was courteous and helpful, but Angie’s behavior was completely unacceptable for someone in a customer service role. I visit this Giant regularly, and I’ve always expected and usually received respectful, attentive service. What happened today was disappointing and unprofessional. I hope this matter is addressed appropriately so that other customers are not treated in the same way. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Ms. Humphrey

    We had to bring our SMALL dog in the store with us because the deli took over an hour for just fried chicken when they said it was going to be 20 minutes. . She was not barking or anything, just sitting there. Then as we were checking out the manager came over to us and said the dog can’t be in the cart. The whole reason we had to bring her was because of YOU. Either hire more people or get your shit together seriously.
