- NNNancy3 days ago1.0Well came shopping here. Had a list. NO carts! This is the third time this has happened. In store I counted at least 5 grocery carts being used for stocking, trash, returning inventory. No carts for shoppers. None in parking. I left with 3 items I needed right away-That I was able to carry. I prefer safeway over the other local options , and have shopped here for years. But the recent changes just make it not worthwhile. Doubtful that I will be back.

Also, the pharmacy staff don’t want to help over the phone and they sound angry. My dad was discharged from the hospital at 4 PM, and I arrived at 4:57 PM but it was already closed. He is in severe pain and needs his medication urgently. How are we supposed to access medicine if pharmacies close this early? In other countries pharmacies are open 24/7, but here the system doesn’t seem built for patients. This is really disappointing and not good for patient care.

If they do sub an item, and if you need more than one, they will only give one of the subbed item. I will not be renewing my Safeway for You subscription due to this frustration. I've used Safeway for about 7 years now but not anymore. I will be using another chain.
