  Everything at this Giant Supermarket is A-1 !! I have only one issue and that is the self check- out, frankly most everyone I’ve talked to said they HATE IT ! Except for those in a hurry. Those of us who are elderly and it’s late at night , well were slow and most of us aren’t familiar at how to use them. Most people we talk to really hate self check-outs no matter where they are. We like real cashiers, If we have to do the shopping, put the items in the cart, then take them back out of the cart to scan them, then put the bags back into the cart, and then pay for all of it , WE SHOULD GET PAID FOR IT ,NOT YOUR EMPLOYEES !!! We’re doing all the work and paying for it all too ! I say NO TO SELF-CHECKOUTS !!! Sorry…

  On a Friday night, the weekend of the storm, only one checkout lane was open. The woman at the counter? Shawrna I believe, was working her butt off to get people through checkout. Her manager or shift leader? Prancing between the office and self checkout having the time of her life moving drawers. Talking it up with the team members over at customer service. I saw Shawrna ask for the bathroom, the manager tells her to hold on, 3 min, 7 min, 10 min, go by amd Shawrna has not been relieved, who by the way, was pleasant and respectful the entire time. I say all this: you can't operate at the same capacity when external circumstance change. I almost thought I was at the dollar store with how the shift was set up. This was POOR PLANNING and COORDINATION. It wouldn't have been nothing to temporarily open another drawer or jump in and help, do something. Contribute. Moving drawers, complaining about how it's packed, and talking to employees that don't need the help was noticed not only by me but by several other customers. You were the talk of the lane. I hope Shawrna finds a better place or a better manager. And I hope I never see that again because sending emails up the ladder until i hear from a wig, will be my new hobby.
