Soon after, I tried asking the manager on duty—who appeared to be somewhat heavyset and wearing glasses—to hand me a fork. She also ignored me and gave both me and my friend an unfriendly look. I’m not sure if this incident was related to race or something else, but my friend and I both felt that we weren’t treated fairly. Because of this experience, we’ve decided we won’t be returning to this place again.
