  Great food, lots of choices and best of all, a deep vegan/ vegetarian selection! Greeted pleasantly, we ordered and had our meals very quickly. The dishes were hearty, with authentic spices and ingredients... this is a must-try place in Frederick's growing, diverse dining landscape. We will be sure to return!

  Gyro and Chicken Bowls The Original Favorite: Gyro Rice Bowl This Gyro Rice Bowl is definitely a winner and a must-try if you're in downtown Frederick! The description promises a bold fusion of Pakistani and Mediterranean flavors, and it absolutely delivers. The tender, spiced gyro meat is fantastic, and the fragrant parsley basmati rice underneath makes for a satisfying base. Topped with a vibrant chopped salad and that iconic drizzle of white and hot sauces—it’s just a great, hearty meal. • Taste & Quality (5/5): The flavor combination is excellent. It's a comforting, savory, and well-seasoned dish that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a flavorful lunch or dinner. • Spice Level: Not spicy at all. The New Must-Try: Chicken Rice Bowl I went back and tried the Chicken Rice Bowl ($13.99), and I loved it! This bowl, which features tender, marinated halal chicken served over fluffy, parsley-infused basmati rice and topped with a fresh cucumber-onion mix, is a new favorite. I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of red beans—they really elevated the flavor and texture. • Taste & Quality (5/5): Fantastic flavor and very satisfying. • Spice Level: I'd rate the heat at 1.5 out of 5 peppers. For someone like me with a low spice tolerance, it was spicy enough that I wanted a sip of water every once in a while—it won't set your mouth on fire, but it definitely has a kick. Despite the heat, I would absolutely get this bowl again! Service & Atmosphere (5/5) The service here truly goes above and beyond, contributing to a fantastic, hometown feel that is perfect for its downtown location. It's far enough from the main streets that you don't have to worry about the heavy crowds. The staff are incredibly sweet and attentive. I’ve been there three times, and they even remembered who I was! When I expressed that I had been there twice for the Gyro Bowl and wanted to try something new, the staff were so helpful at recommending options. They even brought us out different sauces in side cups to try with our bowls! This level of dedication makes the experience fantastic. Customization & Execution (My Experience & Pro-Tip) The bowls taste fine the way they come, and I would recommend ordering them without changes. However, if you want an addition of flavor or ingredients, I recommend requesting a side cup to maintain control. • My Previous Experience: I requested just an extra drizzle of the signature white sauce, and unfortunately, it ended up being way too much for my liking. While the sauce is delicious, the overwhelming amount detracted slightly from the other great flavors. • Pro-Tip for Customization: If you plan on customizing and want more sauce or extra ingredients like the cucumber-onion topping, ask for a side cup (e.g., a side cup of white sauce or a side cup of cucumbers). This gives you total control to add the perfect amount and ensures your bowl isn't overloaded. Overall Recommendation Both the Gyro Rice Bowl and the Chicken Rice Bowl are genuinely delicious and highly recommendable based purely on taste and quality. The incredible service and friendly atmosphere make this spot a must-visit. I'm definitely going to go back and eventually try everything on the menu!
